I can see how the jig attaches to the lathe but how does the bowl attach to the jig?

From the first time I “discovered” SEGMENTED TURNING, I have been fascinated with Neil Davis’s Segmented Star Plate. Apparently other turners feel the same way. Are dimensional plans available through this website, or may they be purchased directly from Neil?

Hi. Just found your web site.Realy like your star plate, But cannot quite make out from the photo”s how you made the star.Is made up. Is it all segments, 8 for the star and 8 for the surrounding aerea? The segments round the rim,is the segmented ring faced onto a thin rimof the plate or a eperate piece somehow attached to the plate. i would be very interested to know.

As you are aware I viewed your video on you tube as did the others and i thought it was just beautiful. Love this site will be back soon. as a new turner would it be possible in the future to show our attemps at turning on this site and hopefully share our creations and ways that we might improve on our crafts .
